10 Inch Hero
So I finally got around to watching 10 Inch Hero last night. Honestly, I really didn't love it. I found it pretty hokey and predictable. I'm usually a big fan of independent films, but this really fell short for me. I think I'm the only one on my f-list that feels that way, lol. The one thing that I have seen people take issue with is the ending, which was stomach turning. Priestly gives up his identity and becomes a pedestrian pretty boy to get the girl? Wow... I also found the Daneel Harris nude scene to be unneccesary and plain silly the second time around. And the oh so happy endings that everyone got neatly tied with a bow.

It sorta felt like a CW movie of the week would be, which is funny since there was a cornucopia of WB/CW actors. Let's see: Liz Parker's/Peyton Sawyer's dad, Invisible Girl from Buffy (surprised to see Clea did this movie), Dean "do me" Winchester, the OTH Alum of Rach-Ho (yeah her character in the movie was a variation of the same thing), Miss Clean Teen Shelley, and Stalker!Boy.

I have mixed feeling for it also. Some parts are fab and others suck and the ending did not want.

I did too and I was like why did they have to do that scene again.

I was happy to see Clea, John, and Jensen. The film was a little too neat and predictable for me.

The first time I was like okay don't see what that added to the film but I guess they wanted some nudity added. The second was just gratuitous.

I disliked Priestly's ending quite a bit actually. I don't think it sends a good message out that you have to be "pretty" to get the girl/boy at all. I liked the storyline with Sean Patrick Flanery and Elizabeth Harnois though.

I found the whole movie pretty smaltzy, but then that ending with Priestly was ridic. What the hell was that? Change everything you are to get the girl?
