I'm slowly working on getting all the Christmas decorations up. Tacks are diabolical and undermining my every move. My poor ittle thumb is so bruised from trying to shove the damn things in. I checked the rope lights and all three strings were working. After putting them up, half a string is out. I feel like Clark Griswold.

Indoor decorating is going much better. I got out all my Rudolph stuff and the ceramics I painted. I'm always happy to see Stephen Colbear and Mr. Shiversworth. I dug out the tree and plan on getting it up this weekend.

My Notes: Cracktastic and fun filled series where the boys become obsessed with reading fic about themselves and Cas gets more obsessed than the both of them. Hijinks ensue and much amusement is had. Fun with the internets = epic lulz.

4) Make The Man

My Notes: Interesting take on 4X17 and has a nice twist to it.

5) Fire of Heaven

My Notes: I've been intrigued by the theory that this fic runs with since early S5 (don't want to spoil anything). She gives it an awesome backstory and meaning in this fic.

So I heard that in his latest interview Kripke has said that S6 is basically go. AND that he doesn't plan to top the apocalypse, but to return to a S1 style. Um, what? This makes me super sad. The standalone episodes do not work for me anymore. That would be such a regression and huge step backward. I was really hoping to end with the plan of S5 and go out with a bang. Oh well, here's hoping he at least delivers something with the apocalypse.

Or as I also like to call them, mostly my comments to rogueslayer452's post. By the time I get to commenting on her posts, my brain has started functioning again and I'm able to form thoughts/ideas other than shiny pretty! and fire bad!.

CAS WAS A TOTAL BAMF AND OWNED THIS EPISODE. From sneaky!Cas on the phone with Dean to SlammingDrinks!Cas to the awesome reaper shot and his confrontation with Luci to the epic BADASSNESS of his using Meg as a bridge (even though it raised questions for me that if a powered down Cas could manipulate things to get out of the ring of fire, I'm sure power saturated archangels would have no problem) PLUS SHALLOW NOTE, MISHA HAS NEVER LOOKED HOTTER. I WAS MELTING INTO A PUDDLE OF GOO.

I freakin love, love Luci. I really wish that Kripke would utilize him much more and I fear we won't see him again until like 3 eps to go before the finale. The way he works whoever he is talking to is so fun to watch. With Dean in "The End" he was the loyal son cast out of heaven, with Cas he is the fellow rebel angel, with Sam he is the fellow freak that no one appreciates. And gotta say I fnd it interesting that Dean and Cas both remianed pretty calm didn't let him get to them during their sweet talk sessions compared to Sammy showed otherwise.

I know a lot of people are bitching about the pointlessness of Jo and Ellen's deaths but I liked that they died for nothing. This is war and that's how it happens sometimes. It felt pretty damn realistic to me. And while I hate that Ellen died, I'm glad she did to provide the weight of it to me because Jo's death meant nothing to me. Too much flopping around of her characterization. But Ellen has been one the most consistent, badass, and best written female characters in the SPN universe. Sad to see her go, but she went out a hero.

I knew the damn Colt wasn't gonna work. But it works in that it explains the end of "The End" for me. I never could buy that Future!Dean wouldn't have shot Luci. So it clears it up for me that he tried to kill him but that the Colt didn't work.

Speaking of "The End", there were so many paralles to it here. Cas drinking again and in greater amounts, this time having an effect on him. His continued loss of power. His sudden hanging out with the females (which kept ringing strange to me) instead of the Winchesters. Luci calling back to Detroit. Sammy letting Luci get to him and still not having dealt with his issues. Dean's being pushed closer to saying yes to Michael by the the failure here. And as rogueslayer452 pointed out to me while discussing it with her, the photograph Bobby took was a also a callback of sorts to the group photo from "The End".

I was so excited about death and another horseman. ONLY TO BE COCKBLOCKED. The ending kinda pissed me off. I mean I get the symbolism of them burning the picture since they didn't have Ellen and Jo's bodies to burn. But talk about a lackluster ending to an episode of awesomeness that leads to a huge hellatus. I wanted it to go out with a bang and leaving you needing more. Especially after the meata/comedy fest that has been the majority of this season. It shpuld have just ended with Luci saying "Hello, Death". As is, it scares me that when Show does come back Death will be back burnered and we will get five more eps in a row non-focused on the apocalypse. They have the chance to do epic things and bring in awesome characters and I wish they would just embrace them.

OldGuy!Dean did an awesome job at getting Jensen's mannerisims down.

Shallow not of the week: Jensen, plz keep growing/do not cut your hair. I'm loving it.

I thought the two witch characters were interesting enough and well acted. But thought it was a bit strange to still leave the he-witch out free taking years from people.

Jensen rocked that last scene with Bobby. This episode really drove home to me just how much Jensen brings to the show.

I just really want them to embrace the whole apocalypse thing, gear up, and bring out the big guns. I really wish it was definite that this is the last season and Kripke was sticking to his plan and would maybe pull out all the stops. I mean where do you go after the angelverse/Lucifer/apocalypse.

The humorous one shot episodes just aren't cutting it for me anymore. There was a time I loved them very much, but I feel at this point the show has moved past having this many episodes of this type. Next week looks like more hijinks. I mean this is the apocalypse with Lucifer running free (who seems to want to just sit on his ass, I guess) - last season was darker and more fluid and had better flow than this.
